Each summer we host the Sheriff Joe Baron Youth Sport Camps. In 2025, they consisted of three sports camps held throughout the week. On Monday we partnered with Old Dominion University Soccer for a youth soccer camp, on Wednesday we teamed up with Maury High School Baseball for baseball camp, and on Friday we partnered with ODU Football and Maury High School Football for a youth football camp.
Each camp was free and open to Norfolk area youth between the ages of 8 and 12 years old. During each camp, attendees had the opportunity to work on their skills, play scrimmages, and get to know the players and coaches. We look forward to these events each year because it gives us the opportunity to give back to our community and connect with area youth. Between the three camps we hosted more than 120 participants.
The camps were sponsored by Coca-Cola, Norfolk Public Schools, and the Sheriff Joe Baron Foundation. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and the coaches and players who partnered with us and gave their time to making these events a success.
